Mary F. Ingalls Barnett

Mary Francis Barnett 78 of Oklahoma City passed away Friday, November, 4, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Rochester, Minnesota on February 27, 1938. Mary graduated from Rochester High School. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts and received her Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. She was married to Donald Lee Barnett on April 12, 1970 and they had one son together Garrett Barnett. Mary retired from the Veteran’s Administration as a Social Worker. She was a member of the National Association of Social Workers and taught Sunday School to the 3 year old class at Church of the Servant. She had a passion for politics and was a life-long learner. She is survived by her son Garrett Barnett and his wife Brandi of Tahlequah, two grandchildren; Maximus and Alexandra Barnett, brothers; Gary Ingalls and Russell Ingalls both of Minnesota, and a host of other friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Guardian West Funeral Home.
