Mary Catherine Billings

Mary Catherine Billings passed away December 8, 2012. She was born April 30, 1929 to T.L. and Helen Hayes Owen. She graduated from Classen High School and attended OSU. She and Robert Billings were married April 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents including her step mother Pat Farris Owen.

Mary is survived by her children, Mike Billings and his wife Janet, David Billings, Liz Billings Waggoner and Janie Billings and husband Bill; grandchildren James Billings and wife Andrea, Nicole Billings, Wesley Billings, Stephanie and husband Chuck Winburn, Christopher and Jessica Billings, Catie Clark and husband Taylor, Charlie Waggoner; great grandchildren Owen Billings, Max and Serena Winburn.

Mary is also survived by her cat-her beloved Daisy; brother Tom and wife Jean; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Harry and Melba Billings and Jo Ann Jenkins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was involved in the Twin Hills Women’s and River Oaks Golf Associations and Oklahoma City Book Club. And most important was her beloved church, St. Luke’s. If there was a job to do, Mom did it-wedding coordinator, United Methodist Women, answering phones, Bible studies.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 222 N.W. 15th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
