Mary Jeannie Brown

On the morning of Saturday, April 10, 2010, Mary Jean “Jeannie” Brown joined her Lord in Heaven. Jeannie was born to William and Lizzy Malone on October 30, 1921 and spent her early years in Hobart, OK.

Jeannie retired after working for over 20 years from NuWay Cleaners and Laundry and lived most of her life in northwest Oklahoma City before moving in her later years to Mustang, Oklahoma so she could be closer to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jeannie will be remembered by her large and extended family for her positive outlook on life, her keen sense of humor, her sly and knowing smile. Anyone fortunate enough to own one of her fabulous hand made quilts will always remember how she loved to sew. Her hobbies included playing cards with friends and sewing for her family.

Jeannie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Gordon Brown, her son, Sherman Lee Brown, two sisters, Ethlyn and Mildred, and four brothers, Bill, Johnny, Lother, and Luther. She leaves wonderful memories of her life and love with her remaining extended family. Sister-Geraldine Morelock, Brothers-Alva Charles and Sam Malone, Grandchildren-Craig Brown,Stacy Willis and Kelly Tarlton, Great Grandchildren-Chase brown, Brittany Shelton, Kylie Willis, Carson Tarlton and Brooke Tarlton, Nieces- Renee Stoll, Dianna Wings, Connie Jean Hewett, Marilyn Dexter and Debra Forsgrin and Nephew- Sam Malone. Viewing will be Tuesday April 13, 2010 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at Guardian Funeral Homes West Chapel at . Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Guardian Funeral Homes West Chapel, with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
