Mary Lillian Maguire, 88, passed away peacefully April 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 3, 1929 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Warner Thomas and Cora Bell Lanier Furlong. She was raised in Carnegie, Oklahoma and graduated as Valedictorian from Carnegie High School. On June 16, 1947 she married her childhood sweetheart Donald Joe Maguire. Together they raised three children. She worked for many years for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring. She was a passionate Sunday school teacher and an avid reader. She enjoyed being her sons Cub Scout Den Mother and the scorekeeper for her kids little league baseball games. She rooted enthusiastically for her favorite teams the Thunder the Dallas Cowboys and the Dodgers. Later in life, she enjoyed Crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 69 years, grandson David and great-grandson Lucas. She is survived by her son, John Maguire, daughter, Beverly Fein and son, Terrell Maguire. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 4:00 pm in the Hahn-Cook Chapel.
