Marylyn Ruth Threlkeld

Born and raised in Trinidad, CO, Marylyn Crask met and married Leslie Roy Threlkeld in 1941. They moved to Redondo Beach, California where they raised four daughters, then retired to Myrtle Creek, OR, which they considered their “Heaven on Earth.” Several years after Leslie’s death in 1986, she moved to Bethany, OK. Marylyn was quite a gal! She always enjoyed spirited debates with her family and friends, a hot game of scrabble, and had a lifelong love of learning and literature; earning a nursing degree after her kids were grown. She loved all aspects of nature; songbirds, in particular, and was a Docent at the OKC Zoo for several years. Singing old songs and lullabies, reciting poetry, and playing Mumbley- peg are memories her family cherishes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; her sister, Mae; and brothers, Elmer, Harold, and Orville. She is survived by her daughters: Leslie Stauffer and husband Rollie, their daughters, Krista and Suzie; Pat Flurry and husband Wilson and children, Amanda, Blaine, and Jess; Deborah Walker and children, Simon, Kris and Rowena; Lynette Gardiner and children Kimberly, Daniel, and Shane. She had numerous great- grandchildren. At Marylyn’s request, there will be no funeral services.
