Merle Lynn Burnett

She was born on December 21, 1954, in Edmond, OK, to Merl Lee Redding and Yvonne Redding (Bass). She lived in Edmond most of her life where she attended and graduated high school from Edmond Memorial High School. She eventually moved to Luther, OK, to live with her father where she was his caretaker.

Merle enjoyed listening to the oldies, and she especially loved The Monkees. Merle’s favorite color was purple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merl and Yvonne; and her brother, Elvin Ray Dugan; and a grandson, Julian Michael Harper.

Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her children, Angel Lail and husband Larry of McCloud, OK, Terry Harper and wife Rachel of Nevada, Whitney Harper of Guthrie, OK; eight grandchildren, Sgt. Tristan Redding-Wade, who is currently in Africa, Makayla Castle of Edmond, Nicole Gates of Tennessee, Larry Lail II of McCloud, Harley Lail of McCloud, Alyssa Lail of McCloud, Henry Harper of Nevada, and Jacob Harper of Nevada.

Merle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Merle will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
