

Mildred was born on Valentine’s Day 1914, to Elmer and Lillie Fox in Moore, Oklahoma. She passed away at the age of 102 on April 23, 2016, at Arbor House in Midwest City, OK. Mildred earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Oklahoma. After teaching for nine years in Mustang and Cleveland County Schools, she became a welfare department case worker and then was appointed Canadian County director for the State Department of Welfare. After moving to Midwest City in 1954, she returned to the claSsroom, teaching second grade in Mid-Del Schools until her retirement from Country Estates Elementary in 1978. Mildred was an accomplished cook and bridge player, an avid reader, a dedicated swimmer and walker. Mildred is survived by her son, Charles Hamm and wife Patti; daughters, Brenda Bodenheimer and Judy Thorn and husband Jim; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Viewing will be Wed., April 27, 2016, 1:00 -8:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 500 SW 104th St., OKC.
