Miranda’s main joys in life were her two daughters, Naomi and Jayden, her close relationship with her mother, Helen, and spending time in nature surrounded by friends and loved ones. She loved kayaking and she never missed a bonfire, a birthday party, or any other event that was important to those close to her.
Miranda was well-known for her ability to bring people together from all walks of life, as she was never one to judge another based on their situation or their affluence. She accepted all people and became instant friends with most that she met.
Her gift to those that knew her well was her unwavering love that she offered to her friends and family and her infectious laugh. Whether it was at the state fair, a music concert, a bonfire by the river, or even just a night out with friends, with Miranda there, it was always a memorable time.
Miranda is survived by her daughters, Naomi Leigh Hiaasen (7) and Jayden Dani Johnson (9 months); her mother, Helen Bingham-Allbright; her father James (Bon) Tolbert IV; and numerous aunts, cousins, grandparents and friends.
A service celebrating the life of Miranda will be Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 4 p.m., at Expressions Church, 2245 N.W. 39th Street, Oklahoma City and a reception will follow immediately after at Phoenix Rising. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Miranda Tolbert Memorial Fund at Focus Federal Credit Union, 420 NE 10th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
