

Myra Gail Gollhofer passed away in the presence of her loving family February 25, 2010 at the age of 61. She was born November 23, 1948 in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in dead by her loving parents, L. T. and Aileen Thompson, a brother Jerry Thompson and sister Linda Harrison. She is survived by her husband Ray Gollhofer, her son Roberto Cordero Jr., daughter Marla Cordero, sons Douglas Gollhofer and Randall Gollhofer, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters, Sharon Sloat and husband, Bob; Pat Taylor and husband, Galen; one brother Johnny Thompson and wife, Patricia. Myra served in the United States Army as a Personnel Specialist. She earned a Bachelors’ Degree from Missouri Southern State University in Business Administration and a Masters Degree from Pittsburg State University in Human Resource Management. Myra was employed at the Pillsbury Company in Joplin, Missouri in the Human Resource Department. She taught classes at Edmond Christian Academy. She was employed by the Oklahoma County Career Connection Center as a Computer Instructor. She was also an adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University, OKC campus before electing to stay home and care for her grandchildren. Myra was involved with the Women’s Veterans Organization on a state and national level. She was also a member of the Republican Party, National Rifle Association, and Audubon Society. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. at Newchurch, located at 9201 N. Rockwell, OKC. OK. Graveside services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
