

Nolan Glasgow passed from his temporary home here on earth, into the arms of Jesus on April 15th, 2016. Nolan was born in Cogar, OK, Dec 19, 1925, and grew up in Oklahoma City. At age 17, he enlisted in the US Army and transferred out of the infantry into the 17th Airborne Division. After completing jump school he deployed to Europe. His Division fought alongside the 101st and 82nd at the Battle of the Bulge. Dad fought throughout France, Belgium and Germany and was awarded 2 Bronze stars, Purple Heart and French Fourragere. At the wars end , the remaining soldiers of the 17th were transferred into the 82nd. After leaving the service he met the love of his life Jean McDaniel. They were married in 1949, and were the proud parents of three daughters and one son. They were a shining example of sticking it out for 67 years through many ups and downs. Nolan was preceded in death by his first born daughter, Saundra Kaye; mother and father; two brothers and one sister. He is survived by wife, Imogene; daughters, Laura and Cheryl; son, Gerald; brother, Don; sister, Norma; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Service for Nolan will be 11:00am, Tuesday, April 19 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
