Ozella Kelsoe Vaeth passed away October 11, 2011 in Oklahoma City. Ozella was born in Cloud Chief, OK to Lydia Ridenour Kelsoe and Arthur H. Kelsoe on July 20, 1923. She spent the majority of her life living in Oklahoma City. She was a graduate of Classen High School and enjoyed seeing classmates. After a year of college, she worked for the government for several years in Alaska – one of the most exciting times of her life. She was briefly married to Felix A. Vaeth and had one daughter, Michelle. She held a variety of jobs, but her favorites were Service Club Director at Tinker Field and secretary at Cedar Lake Sportsman’s club. Her love of animals was huge – all animals. Her cat Misty was a constant and loving companion for the last 18 years. She loved to read and did so constantly as well as playing cards and games. She was so happy living at Danforth Senior Center where she had truly found a home. She had been in the Silver Haired Legislature. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, her father and brother Arthur Leroy “Bud” Kelsoe who she dearly loved and admired. Survivors include her daughter Michelle and son-in-law Barney Kaminsky who watched after her for many years, sister-in-law Rosalia Kelsoe and nieces Debby Kelsoe, Betty Kelsoe and Patty Webster and husband Ike. Also surviving family includes Stanley, Gloria Jean, Kathy and Debby Denton, Jack and Neva Sanders, Berta Jo Wylder and Annette Ford. Memorials may be made to Free To Live Animal Sanctuary or the charity of your choice. Visitation will be held Thursday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and family will be greeting visitors between 6-8 pm.
