Patricia Donnelle Grandstaff

On the morning of August 26th, 2024, Patricia Donelle Grandstaff was overcome by her battle with cancer. Patty now walks in Heaven with her parents, Judy and David Stone; her daughters Bethany and Brianne Mangham; her stepson Jason Grandstaff; her husband Bill Grandstaff Sr; and her grandson Kason Chance Grandstaff. She survives in the hearts of her siblings, Michael, Terri, and Shelly; her children, Brandon Allensworth, Brittany Mobley, Billy Grandstaff Jr., and Blake Mangham; their spouses, and her seven very loved grandchildren.

In the Tri-state area, Patty was a sought-after aviculturist, providing the avian community with the sweetest handfed pets known as “Patty’s birds”. Locally, she was known as the most successful treasure hunter of yard sales. To us, she was known to be a loving friend, a loyal partner, devoted mother, and dedicated grandmother. She single-handedly scratched off 525,600 scratchers (probably). Collector of rocks and crystals, eager to show us what they represented spiritually. She loved fiercely and endlessly. Her only regret was teaching the grandkids how to play Yahtzee so young because now they are wickedly good at it.

Patty was always doing her best despite the odds stacked against her. This was true all her life and into her final moments.
