Peggy Jeanne Adams

Peggy J. Adams, 77 yrs old, passed away December 28, 2010 with family at her side. She’s preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Milly Steele and four sisters. She leaves behind her devoted husband Jerry of 57 years, daughter Joann and husband John of Bethany, son Jerry and wife Connie of Iquitos, Peru, six grandchildren, Amanda and husband Derek Hall of OKC, Aaron and Jennifer Ratliff of Amber; Kristen, Jason and Ryan Adams of OKC; Kaitlyn Adams of Iquitos, Peru; one great granddaughter, Emily; one sister and one brother.

Peggy was easy to love because her love for others was always evident. Her passion in life was sending cards for every occasion to everyone she encountered. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel special.

To quote a poem by Joan Walsh Anglund, “A day shall come when we shall not hold their hand. Nor see the dear familiar face. Therefore let us cherish our loved ones now, while there is still time and hold them close and treat them with all great tenderness, for soon, so soon we must part and shall not find them again until we meet once more in eternity.” So farewell beloved Peggy, Wife, Mom, and Granny, we release you not in sadness but in joy. For the song you brought shall sing forever within our hearts. You will be greatly missed by everyone.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Ok.

Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
