

Rita Jean (Dye) Dallas went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. Born on December 31st, 1942 in Fort Smith Arkansas to Elmer and Reba Dye, Rita moved to Oklahoma as a young child with her parents and 4 siblings, Elmer (Sonny), Erma, Danny and Ricky.
Rita met her husband Oliver in 1959 at the age of 17 yrs old. Rita and Oliver had their first date, dinner and a drive in movie where tickets cost just 5 cents each, in September of that same year. They were engaged one month later in October and then were married 3 months later on January 19th, 1960. Same day as Oliver’s birthday, a date Rita was sure he’d never forget!
Rita and Oliver went on to have 5 children; Tammy Darlene, Judy Diane, Teresa Gail, Brenda Sue and Oliver Dale (Buddy). They raised their 5 children in a small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home along with helping out her father-in-law who also lived with them during this time. Rita and Oliver raised their children in a loving Christian home and taught them the importance of faith and family. Rita and Oliver went on to be happily married for 39 years.
After unexpectedly losing her husband in July, 1998, Rita went on to work in childcare where she had the joy of helping take care of babies everyday for the next 20 years until she retired in 2009.
Rita was a devote Christian and an amazing prayer warrior who knew the importance of putting the Lord first in her life. She loved spending time with church friends and going to eat cat fish every Friday evening.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband; Oliver Dallas; one son; Oliver (Buddy) Dallas, parents; Elmer and Reba Dye, one sister; Erma and her husband Alan, and 3 brothers; Elmer (Sonny) and his wife Peggy Dye, Danny Dye, and Rickey and his wife Mary Dye.
Survivors include her 5 daughters; Tammy and her husband Tim Rinehart of Spencer, Judy and her husband Bobby Rinehart of Midwest City, Teresa and her husband David Garr of Jones, and Brenda and her husband Garry Knol of Edmond and her daughter in law; Kim Dallas of MWC. 15 grand children, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation will be at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at 8805 NE 23rd St, Spencer OK on Wednesday, July 9th from 4:00-7:00.
Funeral services for Rita will be Thursday, July 10th beginning at 1:00 pm at Calvary Church, 3730 N. Porter Ave in Norman, Oklahoma and will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dale Cemetery in McLoud, Oklahoma.
A visitation for Rita will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Church, 3730 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A burial will occur Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Dale Cemetery, 33500 45th Street, McLoud, OK 78084.
