Robert Lee Sanders was born on April 21, 1952, to parents Newt J. and Red Sanders in Randlett, Oklahoma. He was born and raised in Oklahoma, going to elementary and graduating from high school, eventually getting a masters in mechanics.
After graduating, he found the love of his life Sandra and decided to take the next step in life and got married. They got married July 22, 1974, and have been living in marital bliss ever since. During their marriage, they decided to start a family and had four children; Robert Lee Sanders Jr., David Sanders, Debra Sue Evans, and Gracie Marie Sanders.
Robert loved to hang out with his wife Sandra going to casinos in Las Vegas. He loved to listen to rock and roll any chance he could. He made sure to teach his children to be respectful, reliable, strong, and when not to speak (ever). He would want to be remembered as a strong and independent man who found humor in any situation, especially when it came to stupid people. He loved to spend time with his wife and children, especially at a good cookout with beer. Robert’s favorite color was blue, with a slight cloud backdrop.
Robert had many proud accomplishments, he was proud of becoming a master mechanic, and being retired, but what he was the proudest of was the family that he created with his loving wife Sandra. Nothing in the world could compare to the love that he had for his wife and children. Robert was also a proud member of the Founder of Oklahoma Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians (O.A.E.V.T.)
Although Robert has passed on, he will be remembered for all his accomplishment in life and the love he has shared with those near and dear to his heart.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra Sue Sanders, their parents Newt J. and Red Sanders, his brother NJ, his sister-in-law Donna Sanders and brother-in-law Jim Woldt.
Robert is survived by his adoring children, Robert Lee Sanders Jr. and spouse Tina Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, David and spouse Laura Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Debra Sue and spouse David Evans of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Gracie Marie Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four bonus children, Robert, Lee, Heather, and JoJo, his brother John Sanders, sister Mildred and spouse Erwin of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Georgia Woldt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, along with ten grandchildren; Tiffani, Courtney, Justice, Tristan, Ayla, Tyler, Jewllion, Abigal, Drake, and Charlie and twelve great grandchildren and lots and lots of nieces and nephews and their fur baby Zowey.
A special thanks to Debra and David Evans for being amazing caregivers to their dad in his time of need.
