

Born on February 29, 1944, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Bob was the son of Ival Laverne Stafford and Wilhelmena (Mena) Stafford. He received his education in Pawnee public schools and later attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in Advertising.
Bob married Janet Elizabeth Wege on November 7, 1970, in Oklahoma City. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage, sharing a deep bond filled with love and laughter. Bob was a devoted husband who took great joy in doting on Janet.
He began his professional journey at Ray Scales Advertising agency in Oklahoma City, where he dedicated over a decade before starting his own firm, Robert Stafford Creative Services. Bob was recognized for his creativity and skill, directing successful advertising campaigns for renowned clients, including Braum’s, Western Sizzlin, Mackie McNer’s Steak House, General Motors and Phillips Petroleum. His work earned him multiple Addy Awards (American Advertising Awards Competition), marking him as a significant contributor in the field of advertising.
Outside of work, Bob had a variety of interests. He enjoyed refinishing and painting antique furniture, shopping, taking leisurely walks in his neighborhood where he loved to share treats with all the dogs he encountered, and caring for his beloved cats. Known for his kindness and loyalty, Bob cherished his friendships and was a beloved neighbor.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ival and Mena Stafford. He is survived by his wife, Janet Stafford; his brother, Mike Stafford; nephews Geoffrey, William, and Sam Stafford; and brothers-in-law Lonnie Wege (and his wife Barbara) and Mark Wege (and his wife Diane).
A funeral service will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, 73162 on Friday January 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s name to the American Cancer Society or the Integris Hospice House.
