He was the husband of Marcy Gwinn. They were married for 19 years.
Roy was born in Helena, Oklahoma in 1928.
After graduating high school in Helena, Roy enlisted in the Army, where he served in artillery maintenance at Fort Sill. He was deployed to Korea where he received the Korean Service Medal. After honorably serving, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement in 1993.
Roy will be remembered as a man of faith, who served Draper Christian Church as a smiling greeter for decades.
Roy is survived by his wife, Marcy Gwinn, great nephew Jo P. Gwinn, great niece Roxana Bryant, great niece Marilyn Long, great nephew Mitchell Streich, and great niece Marlo Flournoy.
Services for Ron will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Advantage Funeral Home Chapel, located at 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave, OKC, OK, 73159. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK.
