

On March 19, 1949 Rudy was born to Ralph Parsons & Virginia (Zook) Parsons in Waynoka, Oklahoma where he spent his childhood until his high school graduation in 1968. Upon graduation he attended Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. At the same time he joined the Oklahoma National Guard in June 1970 and proudly served for 34 years. After graduation from OSUTI he went to work for the John Deere dealership in Woodward Oklahoma. In 1972 he was hired as a full-time diesel mechanic for the Oklahoma National Guard and worked at that position in Enid, Oklahoma until his retirement in 2004. In 2005 there was a move to Ponca City and he went to work as a courier for the Home National Bank. After full retirement, he moved to Oklahoma City where he remained until his death.
Rudy enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching OSU football & NASCAR, woodworking, wood burning, several other crafts, playing with his pups and spending time with family and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, parents, brother Fred Parsons and nephew Todd Parsons.
Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Marva Stark Parsons.
Also surviving him are sons Michael Parsons & wife Tonya LaPier of Enid Oklahoma and Kreston Taylor & wife Kara Taylor of Piedmont, Oklahoma & grandson Ryker Taylor (the apple of Papa’s eye) who resides in Piedmont, Oklahoma; his sister, Regina Scribner of Carrollton, Texas; three nieces Lisa George & Travis George of Waynoka Oklahoma, Nicole Scribner of Los Angeles, CA, and Lily Scribner of Dallas, Texas; Aunt Myrna Ossala & Mike Ossala of Colorado Springs, Colorado; other family members & many friends all who will miss him and his playful sense of humor and his quirky play on words.
