Sharon Orvilla Branch passed away on Jan. 1, 2021, due to a variety of ongoing health issues. She was born on August 1, 1941 in Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her four children: son, Leonard Branch, and his two daughters, Lauren Branch and Dani Terrell and her husband, Kevin, and their young children, Aiden and Aria; Lisa Brown and her husband, Jay, and their two children Jenner and Jaime; Lee Branch and his wife, Rhonda, and their two children, Ashley and Kaley and her two young children, Londyn and Lani; and son, Larry Branch of Dallas, TX.

Sharon grew up in a military family and subsequently married Leonard Branch, a handsome young Air Force officer cadet. They were married for 32 years. Sharon’s early life was all about raising kids and all the duties that come with being an officer’s wife. Her four kids were her world and she totally devoted herself to being a mom and raising them. She grew accustomed to packing the family up, moving to a new place, and establishing new roots. She would find those roots to become permanent in Oklahoma.

Sharon was often referred to as, “Martha Stewart” as she possessed many talents. Boy, could she cook! Everything was made from scratch and she had the magic! She loved to garden and it seemed that everything and anything she touched turned green and full of life. She had a creative flair, dabbled in painting, and had a knack for decorating. She was very sentimental about certain mementos that she acquired from her travels and friends. Her home was always spotless and she was always organizing and making sure everything was in its place. As her family grew up, she began to work outside the home doing what she did best. That led to her 20+ years working for a family nurturing their kids and managing their day-to-day household needs.

She enjoyed family holiday gatherings and sporting events. OU football and Thunder basketball were some of her favorites! She also loved music and dancing, and being around friends at Juniors where she met the next important man of her life, Steve Coleman.

She was a kind, loving, and supportive woman and meant the world to us. We are at peace knowing that she is no longer in pain and is now sharing her talents in HIS kingdom.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 8, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private funeral service in honor of Sharon will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
