Sharon Linda Wilcox

Born in Fontana, California, she was the daughter of Leonard “Bud” Slayton & Helen Slayton. She graduated from Fontana High School, Fontana, CA in 1962 and College of the Desert in Palm Desert, CA with an Associate of Arts degree. She was College of the Desert’s 1st Homecoming Queen. She was employed as a stewardess for Continental Airlines and a Dental Office manager.

She enjoyed playing bridge, crafting, making homemade cards and invitations, golf, travel, and an avid flower and garden expert and certified fashionista! She will be remembered for being creative, generous, adventurous, fun, loving, beautiful and a friend to everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband Joel Garner Wilcox, step-sons Jeff Wilcox, Chris Wilcox , daughter-in-law Darryl Wilcox, step-daughter Teri Derouin, sister Cindy Morgan, brother-in- law Tony Morgan, nieces Amanda King, Hayden Holleman and precious puppy Mika.

The memorial service will be held on September 3rd, 2025 at 1:00 pm. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service. She will join her puppies Gremlin, Pokie and Toshi at Castle Hill Cemetery in Castle Hill, Maine.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Susan G. Komen organization.
