

Shirley was born in Oilton, Oklahoma to Leroy and Ella Pearl Beshers on December 20, 1936. She attended Davenport High School and was a member of the Rainbow club. Shirley worked as a Lab processor at Medical Arts Lab before enjoying retirement.
She was a proud member at Southern Hills Baptist Church for many years. Shirley was married to her husband, Frank Childress, for 65 years and enjoyed a wonderful life together. She enjoyed cross stitching, and loved spending time with her family. Shirley will always be remembered for her generosity, kindness and love for others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ella Pearl Beshers; brothers, Earl Beshers, Harold Beshers and sisters, Jewel Barner and Rosemary Burrows.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Frank Childress; brother, Lloyd Beshers; daughter, Rachael and husband David Koteras; sons, Matthew Childress, and David Childress. As well as four grandchildren; Adam Pollock, April Goss, Isaac Childress, Genniveve Childress and five great grandchildren; Joshua Childress, Levi Childress, Haley Goss, Jenna Herron, and Silas Childress.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Advantage Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, OK from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. A funeral service will on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Advantage Funeral home in Oklahoma City, OK at 10:30 am with burial at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, OK at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Southern Hills Baptist Church.
