You prophesied over me on Mothers Day 2019 in the middle of your service.  You came to my isle and told me a sudden major change was about to happen in my life with financial implications, and I will be out of my comfort zone for a short season.  The following Monday morning I got laid off from my job. It was very stressful and I trusted what God revealed to you. I applied for a similar position at another major company and was hired 33 days after I was laid off. My last severance check came the same day as my first check from my new employer. I'm still there and have received multiple promotions since I started and my salary is TRIPLE from what I lost when I was laid off. I just wish I could have told you before you went home my dear friend. I'll see you again one day and we'll have a great time!

The Saturday evening services with Pastor Steve were unlike any I've ever attended. No one wanted to leave.  I have never experienced that strong  Spirit filled services anywhere else.  I have met so many other spirit filled people since. I owe my life, this one and my next to the faith and care Pastor Steve gave to each teaching and service that led so me and so many others to Christ.  

I was a struggling sin-ridden United Methodist minister, who never went to a charismatic church until COPS. I was divorced, unsaved, and met with him and he just loved me. Today I am saved by the blood of Jesus, victorious, and baptized in the Holy Ghost. Tonight I was just thinking about Steve and BOOM there he is in Heaven! Praise the Lord, I’m so glad you loved on me Brother Steve. I will look you up when I get there, and it could be soon.

Passionate is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Pastor Steve. The second word is, ties. We all know he had quite the collection of beautiful ties. Pastor Steve was always dressed to perfection. ( I secretly wondered if he was just that good at dressing himself or did Par, who was always looked like she was ready for the runway, dress him) 
Pastor Steve will not be forgotten, he has impacted my life as he has so many others. He is a blessing to all that know him. 
It is so comforting to know that he is dancing on the streets of heaven. 
Ms Par, I hope that all the beautiful memories you have with the love of your life, Pastor Steve, bring you so much comfort as you go through this period of grief. It was very evident that you loved him well. He was blessed to have you.

I was so  sorry to hear of Pastor Steve’s passing but rejoice in his homecoming…he finally got to meet his Jesus face to face and to reunite with his best buddy, Bob.  I can just see Bob running up to his pastor, throwing his arms around Steve and giving him a BIG BEAR HUG and I can hear the joy in Bob’s laughter as he greeted his pastor and best friend…and so excited to introduce him to their Jesus!  

Pastor Steve has been such a big part of my walk with Christ and for so many others.  He is a special man and he loved his Daddy God!  And what a gift to so many…all the singles that passed thru ACTS and were touched and his COPWOC and Sapphire church families!  He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Since his passing, I’ve been reminiscing about all the years we served together in ACTS and all the people that he touched.  Remembering all the good times we all shared (the ski trips, the after service pizza, the float trips, our trip to Israel…so many good times!) and all the many lives that were touched and changed forever because of Pastor Steve’s obedience to the voice and touch of the Holy Spirit.  I always remember Pastor Steve placing a chair on the platform for the Holy Spirit, a welcomed guest at each of our services…and that is what made the difference!

I know this has left a big hole in the hearts of many that knew and loved both Pastor Steve and Par.  Pastor Steve was larger than life!  I want to thank both Pastor Steve and Par for being such an example of what a Godly marriage should be.  Par, your quiet support and your love were the underlying strength that allowed Pastor Steve to be who he was to the Body of Christ.  Thank you for your sacrifice and for sharing such an awesome man of God with us!  

I won't be able to attend today's service but wanted you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers today.

So sorry to hear that Pastor Steve has gone on, but we know that he’s in the beautiful presence of our Lord & Savior Jesus. Pastor Steve gave us so much when he counseled us before marrying us. He made us laugh when he said, “Well, you 2 are old enough to know what you’re getting into.”  Clyde & I met at ACTS at COPWOC, & he taught us so much. Pastor Steve was with me, Ginny, waiting for the wedding to start, & he had us in stitches, laughing so hard that we were disturbing the people attending in the chapel. I didn’t realize that he was nervous too. He forgot our names during the wedding & when I whispered that he forgot to give us the “wine” during the ceremony, he laughed & picked up the wine glass & drank it!  We dearly loved Pastor Steve. PS: Pastor Steve & Par, Clyde & I are still happily married after 32 years. God bless & comfort you, Par. We love you. ❤️🕊

When I had been kicked out of my church after being divorced and didn’t feel I had any where else to go, God led me to ACTS where I found acceptance and healing. Was so blessed to be a part of this ministry.  It was never difficult to find God’s presence on a Saturday night or a Sunday morning for that matter at Cathedral of Praise and ACTS. I will always be so grateful to Pastor Steve and Par.  


Pastor Steve has been such a big part of my family's lives. We have over 35 years of memories of life's ups and downs that Pastor Steve helped guide us thru... he was one of a kind! 
When he talked about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the stories in the bible, he illustrated it so well that it came to life! 
He made it so easy to understand and he never held back what you needed to hear or what the Holy Spirit wanted you to hear and I am so grateful for that wisdom!
Many many lives have been changed because a great man of God who overcame so many adversities yet still listened to his calling and cared about so many. 
I am so thankful that my mother walked thru the doors of that little church on 39th Street so many years ago (when I was a rebellious teen).
COPWOC had a big vision and knew it would change many lives one day.
Pastor Steve & Par saw the vision, heard the calling, made COPWOC thier home and ACTS was born in the new location on Council and Wilshire.
They touched so many lives for so many years at COPWOC. 
As we all know, God had other plans and opened another door and they planted Sapphire Ministries where Pastor Steve continued to reach everyone for Christ, that walked through that door!
He was so proud to see a teenage single mom grow into a God fearing woman of God start my own Women's Outreach ministry in 2012 and he was especially proud to see my son Brandon (that he mentored for so many years) start his own church in 2020!
You will be greatly missed and loved by so many here on Earth but we have comfort and knowing that you have a special place in heaven and we will see you again Pastor Steve!

First time meeting Pastor Steve was at a meeting for the snow ski trip A.C.T.S. was taking in couple of weeks. I really wanted to go, but was on some "back-up" list. I show up at the meeting with a check already made for the full  amount. He introduced himself. He stated we hadn't met, asked my business; and I showed the check. He snatched it out of my hand, said he like the faith, he didn't know how I was going, but I was going to go. The rest is history. I owe a lot of my growth to the ministry. During one service: feeling like I was in a "catch-22" situation he called to me, prayed over me and broke that off of me. He gave us plenty of ministry opportunities. Love you Pastor Steve. 

Pastor Steve Hayes, what an AWESOME Man of GOD! I will FOREVER  be THANKFUL to LORD for Pastor Steve and Parr, and for the Ministry of ACTS, OKC’s most dynamic singles ministry.  He will forever be in my(our) hearts and mind because he is the most impactful person in Kay's and I life from 1986 to 1999. 

The LORD used him in a special and powerful way that delivered me from many things in my past that kept me from entering into God's presence. His preaching and teaching were funny, powerful, stirring, moving and impactful.  The ACTS services were so full of Holy Spirit you never wanted it to end.  So much of the presence of God, it was awesome.

I can’t even begin to say how much he meant to me, to us, to all of us.  I love you Pastor Steve and Parr for the life changing ministry you provide to the lives of so many people in the OKC metro and the state of Oklahoma. 

I always remember he would always tell me every time that I would see him or talk to him that he loved (agape) me. He is so full of the Love of Jesus, every time I think of him it makes me smile.

He’s now where he has longed to be for so many years, in the arms of Jesus and the presence of All Mighty God.  I’m sure he heard those words from the Masters lips; “Well done good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”  

THANK YOU PASTOR STEVE for giving to the LORD, I am a life that was changed!!!

Parr we are sorry but Kay and I will not be able to attend Pastor Steve going home celebration service due to being exposed to Covid-19.  We so wanted to attend and see you again.  We LOVE you and are praying for you.

Of the five years I attended Cathedral of Praise & ACTS Pastor Steve was one of the Spiritual Fathers who helped ground me in my walk with Christ.  He never failed in believing in any of us.  He truly poured his love into each and every single that walked through the doors each Saturday night.  His enthusiasm, his zeal and Love for Jesus could never be mistaken for anything less than his best for God.   I am so grateful he helped me come out of a shell I was ready to bury myself under.  But once he heard my testimony he knew that by sharing the pain & loss would be the only way for me to heal.
And his laugh....so infectious, you just had to laugh with him even if he was laughing at you. LOL 
 Par I want you to know you both impacted my life for the Glory of God.  Thank you for pouring your lives into the OKC singles and for loving us no matter how much we came walking in the church doors with.  Thank you for serving the Lord Pastor Steve & Par.  My Love & my heart goes out to you.  I know one day when we all get home we will be doing some Holy Spirit dancing together a true ACTS reunion.    God Bless You

Pastor Steve was a Godly Man and it an integral part of the growth and development of Cathedral of Praise World Outreach Center Ministries. HE brought strength, courage, and absolute devotion to the Lord and His church. Thank you Pastor Steve for a job well done!   May God's blessings and comfort keep you Par.....

Pastor Steve loved the Lord with all his heart. He taught me how to pray. He taught me how to read the Bible. He taught me how to use the Word of God as my sword in the spirit. He let me know I was worthy. He loved me like a father, and took time to love on me and showed me a great example of how to trust the Lord in all things, how to be a great example of a husband and a great example of a father. He was there constantly fighting in the spirit and praying for all those in his congregation, never ceasing. He stood on God’s truth, never backing down for any one and stood up for righteousness. Praise the Lord for Pastor Steve Hayes and his life.  Thank you for ministering to my family and touching their lives like you did mine. Lord I pray that you bring Par comfort and lift her up in this time and be with her 

Pastor Steve was special to me because he and Par were the ones who helped me to love me through Christ. I was a new Christian and he helped me grow. He and Par were my Christ representatives, and I held that close to my heart for all these years. 


Pastor Steve Hayes was very special to me.  I was pianist for ACTS for a couple of years.  Under his ministry he taught me to rely on my ability to follow whatever he asked me to do, including “writing a song out of the blue” with Karen Carter.  He was full of surprises, which helped me learn to follow God, even if afraid.  I learned that all you have to do is launch out in boldness and God is faithful.  These were unforgettable times in my life.  His ministry impacted so many people in many ways and he will be sorely missed.  Prayers for peace and comfort to Par and family.

Sad to hear about the passing of Brother Steve Hayes. He was an influence on the people of Living Water and others in Wetumka , Okla and surrounding areas.  Even members of LW who never met him are benefitting from his ministry whether they know it or not.  So many memories, starting with an amazing tent revival, and followed by many revivals.  Pastor Renee Ross brought him to LW to join in on the revival that had already began, and it continued for over 3 years, almost non-stop. I remember him wanting to introduce salvation to the mayor of Wetumka, not knowing that the mayor was already one of his biggest fans and supporters.  Thanks for sharing part of yourself with us!! Rest easy and loud brother. Praying for Par and family.

Steve  Hayes was a special person in my life! I considered him a spiritual son. I’m thankful to have known him for over 30 years and the opportunity to minister at Sapphire Ministries many times. Steve was an incredible man of faith and prayer. Will miss him. 


Pastor Steve was used by God in the lives of many as an instrumental vessel of honor to many souls in OKC. I was one of those blessed to know him. His leadership and guidance put me back on the narrow path of life and off the road that led to my destruction. May he always be counted among the mighty men of God. May The God of all Peace comfort you Par.

Pastor Steve, the man that I had my enlightened moment with, he was Gentle, though he was know as “Even Steven”in the military;as a Sniper Marine, Yet the Lord used him to be so gentle, and to show me what an “earthly” dad was like. When I was in a Low time in my life, seeking death could be the only way out, The Lord Used him, to tell me that was a Lie! Glory.. Glory for his obedience....Amen!
Him and his wife Loved On me and My family with open Arms. He spoke of the truth of Gods Word & taught on repentance, many things he spoke into Our lives came to pass, he taught me to Pray, he pushed me, when I needed it, because I was so scared to move, he coached me on, like that dad would on the sidelines of a sport, yet for spiritual.. Forever Grateful for all the Wisdom he poured in to our lives.
He Married Mario and I into our covenant with the Lord and told us we were gonna have a son, And We did!! Our lil Mario!! He also Baptized our Son Miguel, We All Love him so Much and Will be for Ever Grateful of All Times we had here on earth.

Uncle Stevie was always so much fun to be around from my younger years. One of my favorite memories is of our family reunion when I was 14 and Uncle Stevie taught us to drive and introduced us to John Cougar Mellencamp music! Such a ❤️ and I am so grateful my sister Hailie was able to have the visit she had with Uncle Stevie and Aunt Par when she did. 🥰 Love you and God Bless you Stevie. 

I am Stephen and Par niece! I was able to spend almost a week with them both and attended their church service! It was the best time ever! I love you both!!! I miss you Uncle Stevie!!! 

It has been the greatest honor of my life to be able to call Pastor Steve my dad. For thirty years he has been a friend, a pastor, a guide, an anchor, and the greatest Dad a guy could ever ask for. He taught me more about what it means to be a man, and a true man of God than anyone I've ever known. I will always feel privileged and blessed beyond measure to have known him, and to have him in my life. He touched so many people and brought the love of Jesus to those the world rejected. His legacy will shine through the corridors of time, and he will be sorely missed.
I love you dad. You are, and will always be alive in my heart.

I am truly sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one  Pàstor Steve. He was truly a man of God and a good husband and friend to many.  I pray that God will give you strength and peace and may  the Holy Spirit comforts you.
