

Terry L. McPherson, 73, was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 21, 2014 after a lengthy illness with pulmonary fibrosis. Terry was born February 21, 1941 in a Gulf Oil camp house near Andrews, TX to Riley and Helen McPherson, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Andrews High School in Andrews, TX in 1959 and received his Bachelor‘s Degree in Accounting from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, TX in 1965. Terry began working in the oil industry in the 1950’s where he says he started “in the ditch” and through his honest work ethic and attention to detail moved his way up through the ranks to supervisor in several major oil companies which included: Gulf, Shell, Pan American, and Mesa. After 53 years in the industry he retired as a petroleum consultant in 2008.
Terry’s diverse interests included hunting, fishing, boating, welding, building and gardening. In recent years his interests centered on serving his Lord at the Choctaw Church of Christ as an active member, traveling with his circle of Christian friends, and attending events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sue, of the home; brother Jerry McPherson of San Angelo, TX; son Curt McPherson and wife Bandi, of Canadian, TX; daughter Cassi Lowrey and husband Terry, of Lubbock, TX and their mother Anita McPherson of Amarillo, TX; Koleen Paschal and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, OK; Shawn McGuire and wife Enid of Chandler, OK; grandchildren, Cody, Brynn, and Trey McPherson; Trysten and Cayden Lowrey; Tabitha Gordon and husband Phillip; Terrah Johnson and husband Jeremy; and Kirsten Paschal; great-grandchildren, Mikaylee, Caden and Maggie; as well as a multitude of cousins, family, and friends.
Terry’s love for his Lord, family and friends sustained him through his difficult illness.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday August 26, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral home, 8805 N.E. 23rd Street Oklahoma City, OK 73141. Funeral Services with be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 2 o’clock at Choctaw Church of Christ, 14998 E. Reno Choctaw, OK 73020. He will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery, 1760 N. Choctaw Rd., Choctaw, OK 73020.
