Tim was born November 3,1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Kenneth Word “Pete” and Louise Lorette (Gentry) Rice.
Tim received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Oklahoma. He went on to start-up several IT companies. He created and developed software and managed computer systems.
Even though Tim lived all over the United States, he never stayed away for too long always coming back to the place he called his home - Oklahoma City. A perfect day for Tim was fishing at Bennet Springs or spending the day at the racetrack. He also loved to listen to music, mainly classical rock, or soulful music that evokes emotion. He also loved a good joke; his favorite were knock-knock jokes or dad jokes.
What Tim loved most in this world were his daughters, Missi, Stephanie, and Jackie. He loved being a girl dad, that was his greatest accomplishment in life. He wanted to instill very valuable life lessons like showing patience and kindness to others, to stive for excellence, and to share knowledge and ideas with others. Tim would want to be remembered as someone who was smart, kind, witty, funny, and most importantly that he loved his friends and family with all his heart. He also loved OU football, computer programming, coffee and donuts.
Though Tim has passed on, he will be remembered through all the love, caring and dad jokes he has shared.
