Born July 4, 1934 to William Daniel and Laura Parsons on a farm north of Prairie Valley School near where Interstate 40 runs today. He was the youngest of 5 children- Russell, Ruby, Helen, Jackie and Tommy. Tommy attended Prairie Valley School where he played a little baseball, and graduated in 1953 with his class of 16 boys and 2 girls. February 1954 he married Clara Wanda Stubbs of Seminole. They had three children, Nancy, Tim and Jeff.
His first job was pumping gas after school at the Ford Garage in Seminole and during the summer he worked the pipeline with uncle “Buster” and Aunt Ruby.
When he and Clara married he worked at Mora Drilling Company as a “Rough Neck”, then Humpty Dumpty, the Oklahoma Tax Commission and finally went to work at Western Electric on NW 39th St. in Oklahoma City and retired from the plant at Reno and Council after almost 40 years with the company. In 1975 he married Judy Dorn, his wife of today, with her three sons, Curt, Don and Kelly Dorn. They lived in Bethany before settling near NW 26th and McArthur in their current home. Tom passed away after a short illness, peacefully at home surrounded family and loved ones.
We will love and cherish his memory always.
