Vera enjoyed crafting, crocheting, knitting, cooking, reading and working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lavon Whisenhunt; daughter, Tina Louise Whisenhunt; son, Randy Allen Whisenhunt. Survivors include her children, Debra Peaden and Lucinda Gonzales and husband Louis; granddaughter, Casarah Lynn Bailey (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Aslan Eli Bailey; and sister, Violet Lee Points.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Arlington Memory Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com
