Virginia M. Abel

Virginia M. Abel, age 89, of Oklahoma City, passed away on October 25, 2014 in Eufaula Oklahoma. She was born in Buffalo, New York, to Charles and Eva Emig. She and her surviving sister, Beverly Murray, and their parents moved to Oklahoma City during the great depression. She was married 47 years to Robert E. Lee Abel who is deceased. She is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Kerr, LaDonna Roetker and Nancy Cliburn. Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Matt, Robert, Billie and Jody Alleman, Denise Standridge and Thomas Roetkers, Jr., multiple great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jean Alleman, grandson Mike Kerr and son-in-law Harry Kerr. Visitation will be Wednesday October 29, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 10:00 am, at Guardian West Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
