

Walter Eldridge Taylor died January 15th 2022 at the age of 73. He was born in Oklahoma City, March 15th 1948 to Charles Eldridge Taylor and Mary Louise Taylor. He is survived by his son Michael W. Taylor and wife Meagan of Huntsville, AR. His brother Jack and wife Teresa Taylor of Georgia; nephew Adam and his wife Amanda and children John Andrew and Ella Grace; niece Sarah Cumuze and her husband Michael and their children Michael Jack and Claire Jo. His ex-wife Anita and husband Jerry Pearson of Oklahoma and a host of other friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Taylor and his mother Mary L. Taylor (Huffman).
Walter served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated with a bachelor’s degree of Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma. He later took on a career as an illustrator for the Daily Oklahoman and the FAA where he retired on disability. Aside from being a very talented artist, he loved traveling, reading, music, food and had a tender heart towards animals, especially dogs. Most of all he was supportive and loving father and the best dad a son could ask for. Those that knew him knew he was ornery and loved to joke around. He loved his little dog, Blackie, who also survives him. He was a faithful companion to Walter for many years and provided much comfort and support to him.
In the past 3 years, when battling kidney disease, he received much help and care from family, friends, and neighbors. This includes Rose Rock Davita Dialysis where he received treatment. The family wishes to convey their utmost thanks to all involved in caring for him.
