Willard Eugene Sneed Sr.

Willard Eugene Sneed Sr. passed on January 30, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on May 15, 1944, to parents Charles Emory Sneed and Clenard Pearl Sneed (Stiles) in Murphy, North Carolina. Willard attended Peachtree Elementary School and graduated from Murphy High School. After graduation, Willard went on to serve in the United States Army, where he was a part of the Vietnam War. Alpha Monette Sneed (Coles), and they spent 56 years together until her passing in 2022. Willard spent 11 years working at Tinker Air Force Base, where he transitioned into working as the warehouse maintenance for Safeway/Homeland for 35 years.

He loved listening to country and western music. A perfect day for him would be fishing and socializing with many of his friends. Something that could always make him laugh was being able to give other people a hard time. Willard taught others how to respect one another and to work hard. Most people would remember him as a saint and someone who loved his family and dogs.

Willard is survived by his sons Willard Eugene Sneed Jr. (Marla Jean Sneed) of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Richard Don Sneed of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Brianna Nicole Sneed and Joshua Earl Sneed; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; and his dogs Daisey and Lucy.

He’s preceded in death by his wife, Alpha Monette Sneed (Coles); his parents, Charles Emory Sneed and Clenard Pearl Sneed (Stiles); his brothers Charles Herbert (Verda Sue Sneed) and Homer Lee Sneed (Hildred Sneed).

A celebration of life will be held on February 8, 2025 from 3-5pm at the VFW Post 7192 (9500 NE 10th St, Midwest City, OK 73130).

A visitation for Willard will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A burial will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Lexington, OK 73051.

Serving as pallbearers are Richard Sneed, Eugene Sneed, Tony Thompson, Shell Kineheloe , Robert Peek and Todd Tildon.
