

Winifred R. Smith, 90 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away July 25, 2014 at her home. Born February 20, 1924 in Shattuck, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Fred Ribelin and Marcia Cutler Ribelin. Winifred was a longtime resident of Midwest City and had worked at Dillard’s in Midwest City in the ladies lingerie department for many years. She was a member of Wickline Methodist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She was a very meticulous and organized lady. She loved music and dancing and played the baritone saxophone in the Seiling High Marching Band. Winifred was a witty and friendly person who could talk to most anyone about most anything but was also very private about her personal life. She was a beloved wife; mother; grandmother; great-grandmother; great-great-grandmother; and friend who will be dearly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ray Smith; and 1 sister. Survivors include 1 son, Michael Ray Smith of Asheville, North Carolina; 1 daughter, Kim Meredith of Midwest City, Oklahoma; 5 Granddaughters; 4 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St.; Oklahoma City, OK 73141 with burial to follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
