Ann M. Miskell Bird

She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

Ann was born on January 29,1919 in Monroe County, Missouri to William Patrick and Annie (Finnigan) Miskell. She attended and graduated from Redemptorist High School and after graduation she continued her education through Business College. She married Noble Bird on December 22,1945. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and their Altar Society. She was an avid card player especially poker.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband Noble Bird who died on April 18,1994. Ann is also preceded in death by her siblings: Mary (Goggs), Joe (Potes), Rose (Tebs), Malachi (Mike), John (Bullets), Tom (Sluggs) and Vivian (Ms.Vick).

She is survived by her loving children: Jeanne Hickman and her husband Jim of Spring Hill, Kansas, Mike Bird and his wife Carla of Eagan.Minnesota and Jan Miscannon and her husband David of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Left behind to cherish her memory are her seven grandchildren: Matt Hickman (Jodi), Mark Hickman (Delisa), Melisa O’Dell (Dave), Peter Bird (Melanie), Bethany Miscannon, Amy Scoggins (Chip), and Nick Conley. She will be sadly missed by her 13 great grandchildren: Haley, Austin, Jenna, Evan, Taylor, Bailey, Jacob, Melanie, Tiffany, Hailey, Megan, Spencer and Joseph. Ann also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with many close family friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 6th at St. Paul Catholic Church 900 S. Honeysuckle Drive Olathe, Kansas. Interment in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery 8321 Quivera Road Lenexa, Kansas. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. prior to the visitation.
