Ariane “Jay” Jawon Winton, 34, of Olathe, Kansas passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, loving companion, cousin and friend to everyone he knew.
“Jay”, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on October 14, 1987, in Merriam, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Olathe East High School. After graduation he took classes at Johnson County Community College. Jay worked at the Call Center at the Amazon Distribution Center. He took trips to New Orleans, Destin, San Diego and Denver. He enjoyed cooking, baking and listening to music by his favorite artist Brittany Jean Spears, Lady Gaga, and many more. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
He will be sadly missed.
Ariane is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tucker Turner. He is survived by his father, Mickey Whisonant of Kansas City, Kansas and his mother, Deborah Lynn Winton of Olathe, Kansas, grandmother, ”Nane” Sharon R. Winton of Olathe, Kansas, two aunts; Gala M. Winton and Donna D. Winton both of Olathe, Kansas, one uncle, Mark W. Winton of Olathe, Kansas and four brothers; Shawrice D. Winton of Overland Park, Kansas, Justin S. Winton of Virginia, Jordan D. Winton, and Julian S. Winton of Olathe, Kansas. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of cousins, life time friends and loving family members. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his dog “Lucy”.
Ariane will be cremated according to his wishes. A “Celebration of Life” honoring the life of Ariane “Jay” Winton is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas.
