

Beverly “Bev” Anne McPherson, 81, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 surrounded by family. Visitation 1-3 pm and funeral from 3-4 pm on Saturday, November 8th at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula, Olathe, KS.
Bev was born June 3, 1944 in Seattle, WA to William P Byrne Sr & Alma Mae Ludwig Byrne. Beverly met & married her husband Lawrence McPherson in Seattle, WA on June 30, 1962. Attended Ballard High School in Seattle, WA. She spent most of her working career in nursing homes taking care of others in laundry and the kitchen. Her proudest career moment was becoming a dietary manager for Johnson County Nursing Home in Olathe, KS. One of her personal highlights was dancing on Seattle Bandstand. The thing she was most proud of in life was having a large family that gathered for holidays and special occasions. She loved everything involving children & most of all, her family & friends. Her hobbies were dancing, bingo, dice, card & board games, traveling, collecting angels and supporting family at karaoke. She always saw the good in everybody.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Frank McPherson, parents, step-parents, son Lawrence Frank, Jr., daughter Kristina Marie McNamara, sister Judy Patton, brother Gerald Byrne, sister Barbara Byrne Hoefs Conway, sister Kathleen Christiansen, brother William Byrne, Jr., brother James Patton, grandson Adam Grover & great grandson Logan Snyder. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen Hyland (Michael Hyland) of Olathe, Koleen Cook (Rumsey Cook) of Desoto, son Kelly McPherson of Bonner Springs, daughter Karen Haemmerle (William Haemmerle) of Edgerton, half-sisters Candy Krugel of GA, half-sister Peggi Alexander (Larry) of CA, step-sister Bernita Strang of WA, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson.
