He was such a great person one of the best football player I have met.

Brian was probably the most comical  person i met my entire life. When a conversation included him ,you could not help but laugh. Eating literally ketchup with anything and by anything i really mean anything.  He always made us smile and even after everything that has happened  we miss him in an inordinate amount <3

Halle and Brian short video from track meet

Brian was really good friends with my daughter Halle Cochran, he was also her boyfriend in 7th grade. He use to come to our house and hangout and eat dinner with us. He also played with Halle’s two younger siblings. He was a very nice boy who will be very missed. We always waved to him when we would see him walking or playing basketball at the church up the road from his house. We will keep his family in our prayers 💕

Allah est Celui qui vous a donné cette épreuve comme un test , et il est Celui qui vous en sortira. 


La perte d'un enfant est la pure épreuve qu 'un parent puisse vivre, et je n'ai pas les mots face à cette tragédie. Qu 'Allah vous accompagnent.

Brian. The sweetest soul in my life. He always made me the happiest and always had me smiling and laughing. The compliments and motivation he gave me meant so much to me. He always made me feel like I had a place and was loved. He truly cared about me and he showed it. One thing I will always remember about Brian is his ability to walk into a room and make everybody happy. He was truly one of the best souls I have ever met. LLB🕊

brian had the funniest laugh and i remember everyday at lunch time i would be having a bad day and the only thing i had to hear was brian’s laugh, it always made me laugh no matter what. he was my first ever date to a highschool dance and i will remember that forever. he was so pure and i can’t wait till we meet again 💗

Brian was the brightest soul on this planet. His laugh and smile were one of a kind and he will be dearly missed.

Brian was cared for and loved by our family. There were several times he'd come over to our home and hang out with my son, Keegan. During their 8th grade year, Keegan wanted to be a part of a sport due to football being canceled. He had never played basketball but was encouraged by several friends to try out for it. Brian was one of those friends. Whether it was 1 on 1 or in-team scrimmages, Brian always took the time with several others to "school", LOL, Keegan on either how to be a center or just teach the game to him, in general. I specifically remember a time, when Keegan needed a ride from ODAC after a nighttime varsity football game last year. Thinking I was only picking up him and a couple of friends, I arrived to find out that those 2-3 I thought I was getting, turned into 8 total. My wife's car only fit 4 comfortably and 5 snuggly. Didn't matter to them though. In clown car fashion, THEY ALL piled in and found every nook and cranny to strategically mold themselves into. I had no idea Brian was in the car until he spoke up out of nowhere and said his "nuts were being crushed" by some random girl I didn’t know. I laughed and said," is that you, Brian?" He said, "yeah". I said," cool, sorry man, I didn't see you get in". To which he promptly replied, "I get that a lot...it's because it's nighttime and I'm African black". Knowing that Brian was born in the Congo and was a little darker than the average African American male, his response stunned me, left me speechless, and caused the entire car to erupt in laughter. He made sure I knew that he wasn't offended and that what he responded with was said in jest to disolve any awkwardness that may have existed. With that, Brian had won me over as a lifelong ally and a surrogate son. He was able to recognize color but didn't let his race define him or others that he cared about. He saw only people and treated them as such with respect, care, and dignity. We'll miss him deeply.
