Brooke Elaine Arnold

Brooke was born on March 29, 1989, in Overland Park, KS. In 2011, she graduated from KU with an English and Journalism Degree. In 2016, she got her Master’s in English at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom. On February 24, 2018, Brooke and Matthew Arnold were married. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Maisy. Brooke was a devoted, loving mother to 2-year-old Maisy as well as a foster mom to Mya. She loved cooking, traveling, and all things London. She also really enjoyed Bob Dylan’s music and had a gift for connecting with everyone, especially children and foster kids.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond W. Rider, Marcia Rider, and Edward Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Arnold of Olathe, KS; daughter Maisy of Olathe, KS; parents Michael and Sandra Rider, of Olathe, KS; brother Dylan Rider of Kansas City, MO; grandmother, Ruth Johnson of Mound City, KS; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation for Brooke will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mill Creek Community Church, 7825 Gleason Rd., Shawnee, KS 66227. A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mill Creek Community Church, 7825 Gleason Rd., Shawnee, KS 66227. A committal service will occur Friday, June 30, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Olathe Memorial Cemetery, 730 N. Chestnut St., Olathe, KS 66061.
