This one really hurts. The year we were roommates in the "dungeon" has some of my fondest college memories. Good bye my old friend.

I was shocked and saddened when i heard today Chuck had passed away.We met at E.S.U . He was the best man at my wedding, a dear and special friend, I could probalbly write a book about all our special times together,but I wont. I have a feeling everyone who new Chuck knows the kind heart God blessed him with. I will share one story that I will never forget he was a expert marksman. He took Rick Locey and I to a river in emporia where he proceeded to nail bottles bobing in choppy waters,  50 to it seemed like 100 yards down the river we were elevated on the bank after Ric or me failed to hit the bottles, Chuck would sink em with 1 shot with his 357 or rifle. Rick and Chuck are no longer with us, but the memory of CHARLES RAYMOND SHELTON will live forever.Sometime before I go to bed tonite I will say a prayer THANKING GOD for blessing this world with Chuck Shelton.

Chuck, the world has suffered a great loss with your passing.. you will truly be missed.  Terri, my heart breaks for you my friend.  We always search for something comforting to say at times like this, but the truth is, there's nothing we can say to ease your pain.  Only God's love and time can do that.  And knowing you have people who care and love you that are here if you need them.  My deepest sympathy to the whole family.  Chuck was a wonderful soul and I'm better from having known him.  No matter what the problem, and we've shared a few.. Chuck could find some humor in it.  We've laughed together and we've cried together.. Good-bye Master Chuckles.. I love you and I will miss knowing we share the same world.. but I know your beautiful soul will go on..

"In My Life" keeps going on and on in my head. It's on continous play since hearing it yesterday......I can't help but feel this loss in the Universe.....I know in time it will fade....sorrow does pass.....eventually. However....when you lose a good one.....one great soul.....God help me to never forget the sacrifice.

I remember after my mother had died in 1993, Chuck and I were talking and he told me that the gifts and talents that my mother possessed would now pass to me, and to my brothers and sisters.  All we needed to do was ask for them when we needed them.    It is hard to definitively say if this is the truth or not, because I don't really recall asking much.  I can say that my mother was in education for all of her professional life as a teacher and principal, and I have managed to stay in education for 30 years now, so perhaps it is true.  What is important, it seems, is that Chuck believed this.  And now that he has made his transition, perhaps he will be waiting to continue to share of himself.  We simply need to ask.

Everything that was said today about Chuck was so true. He was an exceptional human being.......I am better for having known him at all.......

To all the Shelton Family, you have our deepest sympathy and sadness at the untimely passing of Chuck.  We remember fondly the times we shared with him and his sense of humor that made us laugh.  What a wonderful gift that was to all who knew him.  We will never forget him.  With our prayers and sorrow to you,

Chuck,You always brought so much fun and energy into every room you entered. I enjoyed all the times we spent together at family functions, but my favorite memories are of those rare times we got to hang out by ourselves and talk. You were a special person and I already miss you more than you will ever know. Love you buddy!

Prayers and condolences to Chuck's family. Many fond memories of Chuck while growing up in the same neighborhood and we worked together at a couple of places. May the grief of his love ones be alleviated by knowing how much Chuck was liked and respect by so many others. RIP old buddy.

He could always bring a smile to my face and a laugh to my heart. His sense of humor, creativity and artistic ability knew no bounds. To Chuck's daughters, I went to high school with Chuck and your mom Sue. My twin brother, Bob, was a good friend of his during high school and college. Your Dad was a funny guy! I am very sorry for your loss.  Praying that the Lord surrounds you with his love in this difficult time.

Terri, I am truly sorry for your loss and what you are going through right now.  I pray God surrounds you with those that can comfort & support you long after the chaos of this week passes, and gives you the strength to stay strong and true to yourself.  Being relatively new to the family, I have not had much opportunity to get to know Chuck.  However, the times I have been around him it was obvious by the way he made people laugh that he was a man who enjoyed bringing love, happiness and joy into the lives of others.  Love you.

To the Shelton family, my deepest condolences on the loss of Chuck.  We were in school at Christ the King and Washington High School.  Always shy, I always enjoyed his antics.  The mere mention of his name always makes me smile because I associate it with laughter.  May your memories of the good times, sustain you through this difficult period.

Chuck you are so missed!! I will always remember sitting at nanas house and looking up and seeing you with a video camera telling me to do something silly. Or when you always told me you got me an ipad. I love you so much!!!!!

Chuckles, you brought so much happiness to my sister (and to the rest of us) and it was just because you were who you were. For that we will all be forever grateful to you.  You were her best friend long before she loved you and I know she will mourn the loss of you everyday.  She will be strong and carry on the amazing things you both have worked so hard on and continue to help others because now she will have your strength and love inside of her.  

One of the things I loved most about you was your total deadpan look when you were telling a story that was so outrageous that NOBODY would believe you... except anyone that looked at you while you were talking!  You could convince me that the most outlandish thing was really true... until I finally said "Really?" and then you'd be like "No, what the heck's wrong with you? Why would you believe that crap" 

I love you, Chuck.  I will keep your memory alive in me and help Terri get to a place where her memories of you make her smile more often than cry.

God Bless You for all the good you have done - you have touched thousands of lives.  May you rest in peace.
