Cynthia "Cindy" Lu Craig

Cindy was born on June 22, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to Virginia and Gerald Childers. She graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School, where she met and fell in love with her partner for life, Mark. She was employed at Rolling Ridge Elementary School through the Olathe School District for 25 years. She enjoyed cruising to far away places and boating on Table Rock Lake. Her favorite pastime was keeping up with all of her friends and family; lunches with the girls from work, dinners with lifelong friends, and keeping tabs on the grandkids.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is survived by her husband, Mark, brother Carter (Joan) Childers, sisters Mindy (Leo) Gerard, and Becky (Mike) Olson, children Trisha (Brad) Clay and Steven (Brandi) Craig, grandchildren Amanda, Kristen (Jackson), Jami, Zachary, and Greyson.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 on Wednesday, December 16, at McGilley and Frye Funeral Home, 105 E Loula St, Olathe, KS. The funeral service will be at 11:00 on Thursday, December 17, at McGilley and Frye, and then burial at 1:00 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. Please join us virtually for Cindy's Funeral Service. We are at capacity inside the funeral home at 50 people.
