Gary Wayne Stevens, 66, of Olathe Kansas passed away March 25, 2010. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Monday March 29, 2010 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E Loula St. Olathe, KS 66061. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
He attended school in Clarinda, Iowa and in the 1960’s moved to Olathe Kansas. Most of Gary’s life he worked with his hands in the building trade industry and for the last 17 years he worked for Mid States.
For the past years, Gary’s true passion was creating beautiful master pieces of wood furniture and cabinetry for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia Stevens; sons, Gary W. Stevens, Jr. of Omaha, Neb.; step-son, Perry A. Reed of Olathe, KS; brothers, B. Lowell (Linda M.) Stevens of Paola, KS, Dwayne (Linda R.) Stevens of New Market, IA and Robert E. (Jean) Stevens of Clarinda, IA.
