Gloria G. Hausen

Gloria G. Hausen, 67, of Olathe, Kan. passed away March 2, 2011. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home- Olathe. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church- 555 W. Main St. - Gardner, KS. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery- Olathe. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Gloria was born November 18, 1943 in Northfield, MN to Edward and Flora Neuman. She grew up on the farm in Shieldsville, MN where she learned a love of nature and hard work. She married her soul mate, David L. Hausen in 1962. Gloria was selfless to the needs of those around her including family, friends and people in need.

She was a very devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. She is truly an inspiration to all and her smile would light up any room. Gloria was strong-willed with a loving heart. Some of her favorite times include working in her beautiful gardens, baking, special scenic trips with family & listening to music. After 48 years of marriage, Dave & Gloria’s love for each other has only grown and flourished. Their love was unconditional and an inspiration to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Diane; and her grandson, David.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, David; son, Peter (Dana); daughters, Diana, Angela and Sarah (Jack); brothers, Richard (Pat), Dale (Nita) and sisters, Beverly and Bea; and 12 adoring grandchildren.
