Helen Mae “Lisa” Edwards, 80 of Olathe, Kan. passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, 105 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061. Funeral Services will follow Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Olathe Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family for a charity to be picked at a later date.
Lisa was born July 13, 1933 in Luling, TX to Abraham and Stella (Sawyer) Fulps.
She was a homemaker most of her life, but her proudest accomplishment had to be her family. She was a very devoted mom, grammy and friend and will be missed greatly. Lisa had a loving heart towards animals. Some of her favorite times included painting, reading & listening to music. She was a long time member of the Vista Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.
Lisa is survived by her loving daughters, Deborah Lynn Edwards of Santa Cruz, CA and Gayla Dianne (Carl) Taylor of Columbus, NE, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
