Jacar was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his compassionate spirit, generous heart, and loyalty. He had a smile that would light up a room. He was hardworking, honest, and kind to everyone he met, always thoughtful and dependable to those around him.
Jacar graduated from Olathe North High School and furthered his education at the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute (MMI) in Phoenix, AZ. Arizona was home to Jacar for the past sixteen years. During that time, he discovered his passion for motorcycles and the culinary arts, which ultimately led him to a his career as a Banquet Chef at The Global Ambassador Hotel, where his dedication and talent were deeply valued and respected.
Jacar is preceded in death by his father, Christopher Captain and his grandmother Sandra Waldron-Anderson. He is survived by his loving mother, Brenda Harvey, his three sisters, Crystal Captain-Terrill (Monte’), Raqayyah Harvey, and Sloan Captain. He leaves behind his five nephews, Marquis Captain, Norian Terrill, Aimon Donaldson, Cameron Terrill, Landen Jenkins, and one niece, Kora Almaguer.
Jacar had a passion for fishing, horseback riding, motorcycles, outdoors, cooking, and music. He had a special love for animals and cherished the time he spent training his dog, Tank. Karaoke is where his personality and sense of humor always shined through. Whenever he came back home to visit he loved spending time with family, reconnecting with his childhood friends, and getting home cooked meals.
Jacar’s passion and hobbies live on through his nephews, and his memories will hold tight in our hearts.
