James was born on September 11, 1954 in Vandalia, Missouri to Herman Franklin and Myrtle Nadine (Hobbs) Alderson. He attended and graduated from Vandalia High School. He met the love of his life Shellie Mae Craw and they were married on June 30, 1984. Together they raised their three children; Michelle, Jennifer and Christopher. James worked as a Maintenance Engineer working on different projects throughout the city. In his spare time, James enjoyed working as a mechanic on race cars, monster trucks and enjoyed attending car shows and drove dirt tracks. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.
James is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty seven years Shellie Alderson and his son Christopher Alderson of the home, daughters; Michelle Alderson of Olathe, Kansas and Jennifer Alderson of Overland Park, Kansas. James is also survived by his cousin Becky Goran of Vandalia, Missouri and his pet Bye-Bye, “Porsha”.
“Celebration of Life” honoring the life of James Edgar Alderson will be 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Interment in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: The Family to offset the funeral expenses.
