Janice was born February 1, 1942 in Kansas City, MO. She was a retired teacher, having spent thirty years teaching and coaching in the Raytown School District.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Jack R. Hockensmith; her two children, son Joshua Hockensmith and wife Rene, and daughter Jodie Hockensmith; two beloved grandchildren, grandson Aidan Hockensmith and granddaughter Carley Hockensmith; her sister Judith Houtchens; her brother- and sister-in-law Steve and Rochelle Hockensmith; and all her nieces and nephews.
Janice was devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
