I love you and miss you so much, my sweet sister. It broke my heart to see you in so much pain, so it is comforting to know that you aren’t hurting anymore. I wish I would have spent more time with you. Give mom and dad a hug for me. I love you-Sarah

Aunt Karen used to work at the convenient store across the street from Indian Trail. After school I would stop in to see her and sometimes she would let me get a drink for free.

When we lived in the neighborhood I would ride my bike over to say hi and hang out for a bit.

My Dearest Karen,
God decided it was your time to leave this earth and spend the rest of eternity with Him.   We don't know/understand why God chose you to have a life of pain and suffering but, He has a reason for the path He takes each of His children down.  At the same time, you were wonderfully blessed.  God gave you an incredibly loving, strong, sensitive, sincere, hard working, devoted, God fearing husband who has spent his married life taking care of you, protecting you and giving all of himself to you and your family.  He also gave you almost 40 years with two beautiful daughters and a son who loved you unconditionally with all their hearts and will always love and miss you.  And what about those four beautiful grandchildren?  Although their years with you were also cut short, you have left them with wonderful, loving memories of all the times you spent together and the love you poured out to them.
While you have left us all behind missing you deeply, you have made an impact in each of our lives in one way or another.  The memories you have left us with will help each of us get through the days going forward. 
And though we grieve and miss your absence in our lives, we couldn't be happier that you are with your heavenly Father, our mom and dad, grandparents, aunts and uncles and your in-laws too.  We can rest easier knowing you are  free from your pain and suffering.  Rest in peace, Karen.  Enjoy your new, forever home, be happy and carefree and some day we will all be together again.
I miss you.  I love you!  I will continue to talk with you often.

My sister was 4 years older than I am, so we weren’t particularly close, but she was a big sister.  I remember when I was 15 and had my learners permit, she as well as my older sister Janet and brother Mark all had their licenses and cars.  Karen was the only one that asked me if I wanted to go out and practice my driving in her car.  She would coach me about when to let off the gas coming into a turn and how not to over steer through the turn, but let the wheel unwind through your hands instead of turning it back yourself.  I definitely needed the practice.
I also remember her talking me into going to the High School Play, “Oklahoma!”, with her.  I was not excited about a musical, but I had a really good time.  After the play, she introduced me to one of the football players she was friends with, named Roy Foster.  It turned out that he went on to play football for USC and had a long career in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins.  I always thought it was cool that I could say “I know him”.
These are a couple things I remember about Karen being my big sister.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Karen’s passing…Even though I was quite young, I always remember the Yoksh family reunions we would have. We have so many great pictures of the games and memories from those events. Karen always had a big smile on her face. She was such a sweet person. Heaven gained an angel.

Mom, I couldnt imagine just how hard this day would be, until now. Life isnt the same without you, but I take comfort in knowing you are at peace and no longer in pain. Loving and supportive, selfless and caring, you were our guiding light here on earth and now from Heaven. I'm honored that God chose me to be your daughter. I wouldn't be the person I am today, without you. I love you so much and I'm sorry that your ride on this train of life was cut short, but know that you left a lasting impression on every passenger you met along the way. Til, I see you again...rest easy. I love you always, Mom. 

I remember all the great time we had in the service. She was a great friend. Our family’s spent a lot of time together. Prayers for you and your family

Karen was the best neighbor. She kept watch over our family and home. She was also a friend and enjoyed sitting down and talking about what was happening in her family's life. She loved to talk about her kids and grand kids. We both knew we could go to each other if we ever needed help. She will be missed. God bless the Yoksh family.

I met Karen many years ago when she worked at the doctor's office that we had gone to.  We became friends and I soon got to know Steve and her kids. Karen was always very kind to my kids, especially my special needs daughter, Maddie.  She even cared for Maddie several times. She was always willing to take care of or help someone else even when she may not have been feeling great.  Now her pain is gone and she can watch over her family in peace. 

We were so sorry to hear of  our cousin Karen's passing.
