Kathy Marie Peters

She worked at Miller’s Dress Factory in Iola, Kansas. After graduating she went to work for Kansas Department of Transportation in Olathe, Kansas. She worked for Kansas Department of Transportation for 32 years retiring in 2011.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alvina Peters and her brother Joseph Peters. She is survived by five brothers, Eugene Peters and his wife Karen of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Dennis Peters and his wife Nadine of Chanute, Kansas, Mark Peters and his wife Virginia of Iola, Kansas, Francis Peters Jr. and his wife Gracie of Morgan Hill, California, Louis Peters and his wife Cynthia of Grain Valley, Missouri, and one sister, Carol Ann (Peters) Wilson and her husband Mark of Iola, Kansas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Roxy Peters of Iola, Kansas. She will be sadly missed by her several nieces and nephews, and her friends who where a big part of her life.

Kathy will be cremated according to her wishes. A "Celebration Of Life" is scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. A memorial service will take place in Iola, Kansas at a later date. Inurnment in Iola Highland Cemetery Iola, Kansas.
