Kevin Laurence Auld, born October 9, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas to Mark and Betty Auld. He graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1975. After high school, he worked for a short time at Weaver's Donuts. He truly enjoyed working there, and talked about his experiences often. He then got a job at The Sun Newspaper, where he worked for several years. He continued working in the newspaper industry for over 30 years doing computer programming.
On September 4, 1982 he was united in marriage to Sherry Goode, and unto this union six children were born. On August 16, 2008 he was united in marriage to Mishal Howell until his passing. Kevin enjoyed history, archaeology, taking pictures, and doing family history. Having a deep respect for tradition, Colorado Trips with the family were important and cherished. With that came long road trips which he also enjoyed. Kevin and Mishal found their church home in June of 2009 at Neema Community Church. He assumed many rolls there. He was a deacon, treasurer for mens fellowship, head of the sound and production team, and was a part of the finance board. He loved The Lord and was a faithful servant.
On Monday August 13, 2018 Kevin went to be with The Lord. He passed away in his home at 10:32pm surrounded by his family. Kevin is survived by his wife, Mishal, of the home, his children, Jennifer (Mike) Cranney, Zachary Auld, Benjamin (Mojeh) Auld, Monica (Justin) Humphrey, Meredith Auld, and Amanda (Austin) Smith. His 12 grandchildren Ian, Porter, Andrew, Melanie, Leia, Jackson, Brae, Eli, Silas, Sully, Emanuel, and Ryan. His mother Betty (Preble) Auld, and siblings Mark Auld III, John (Vicki) Auld, Melissa (Jim) Carolan, Dan (Amy) Auld, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Auld Jr in May of 2010.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Neema Community Church, 621 S. Lee Ave., Olathe, KS 66061 from 4:30-5:30pm with service at 5:30. Burial will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Fredonia Cemetery, 29864 State Highway MM, Warsaw, MO 65355.
