Kim was born December 03, 1961 to Thomas L. and Nancy J. Earnshaw. She grew up in Shawnee, Kansas and was a 1980 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. Kim's parents preceded her in death.
Kim's working life was spent primarily in waste management in the Kansas City area, splitting her career as a dispatcher between Deffenbaugh Industries and, later, Republic Services. If you ever needed to find a location on either side of the state lines in the Kansas City area, Kim could get you there! Kim was the original GPS!
After graduating high school, Kim purchased the family homestead in Shawnee, Kansas and lived there for several years. Afterwards, Kim lived in Olathe, North Carolina, and Ottawa, Kansas before buying her beloved farm in Waverly (Coffey County), Kansas, where Kim raised children and resided for 25 years until her death.
Like her parents before her, Kim was well-known and greatly loved for her astonishing work ethic and never turning away anyone in need. No, not ever. When asked what they will remember about Kim, people invariably say, “I will remember her loving, generous heart and I will remember that she was the
hardest worker I ever knew!” Kim spent her whole life working hard SO THAT she could care for her family and for anyone she encountered who was in need. She never asked for anything in return.
Kim was a classy dresser and a superb cook, and she loved fast cars, old Ford pickup trucks, camping, all genres of music, gardening, antiques, kids, animals, flowers, and all things of nature. If you knew her, it's a sure bet that Kim loved you.
In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Victoria (Earnshaw) Thompson.
To mourn her passing but treasure her memory and rich legacy, Kim leaves behind the children she raised: Samantha Jo (Bollin) Johnson (Hunter), Allie Jane Pecina, and Drew Frank Conrad. Also surviving Kim are siblings Jeff Earnshaw (Julie), Tammy (Earnshaw) Sperry, Cindy Earnshaw, and Andrea (Earnshaw) Gonzales (Albert), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends from every phase of her life.
A celebration of Kim's life will be announced at a later date.
