Larry Junior Hubbell passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the age of 71. Larry was born to parents, Adolf and Waneta (Hape) Hubbell, on June 8, 1948 in Olathe, Kansas.
Larry was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and traveled to numerous countries while serving for the United States Army. After his military career he worked for the City of Olathe, as well as Laidlaw Transit. He enjoyed cooking and was a lover of movies and games. Above all, Larry was a loving Dad and Grandpa.
Larry will be extremely missed.
Larry is survived by his son, Brian Hubbell; his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Hubbell and Judi Miller; his daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Shawn Black and his daughter and son-in-law, Waneta and Jeff Pote. His grandchildren, Jordan, Eleanor, Amelia, Hazel and Ashley. His sister, Anna Hubbell; his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Virginia Hubbell and his brother and sister-in-law, David and Nancy Hubbell.
"Celebration of Life" 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. Inurnment with (Full Military Honors) in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens 13901 South Black Bob Road Olathe, Kansas 66062. Visitation 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, November 12th prior to the service at the funeral home.
