Pamela Jane Toombs, 62, Roach, Mo., passed away September 26, 2012. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home, Olathe. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kan.
Pamela was born on Feb. 23, 1950, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Howard and Sara (Phibbs) Elliott. She graduated from the University of Kansas with her master's degree in education. She participated in Alpha Gamma Delta Social Sorority. In 1971, she married Jerry Toombs in Overland Park, Kan. She was employed by the Olathe USD #233 where she retired after 29 years.
She loved reading, quilting, volunteering at the library and gardening. She is preceded in death by her father, and daughter, Jennifer Toombs. Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Jerry, mother, Sara Ray, sister, Sally Borello and brother, George Elliott.
