Patricia Lynn (Jimerson) Thomas

Patricia Lynn Thomas - Jimerson, 42, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Olathe Medical Center. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

Tricia was born on March 10, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles Wayne and Rita Marie (Hixon) Jimerson. She attended and graduated from Olathe North High School. After graduation she attended Hutchinson Community College, Washburn University and Wichita State College where she earned her Associates Degree in General Education.

Tricia recalled her fondest family moment was the day her daughter LeAnna was born. Her most proudest achievements in life were being a police officer, Sheriff’s Deputy, EMT, and Nursing. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and most of all spending time with her fiancée Chris. She will be sadly missed.

Tricia is preceded in death by her husband Tom Thomas who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her parents, Charles and Rita Jimerson of Olathe, Kansas, daughter LeAnna J. Geniuk of the home, fiancée of 6 years Chris Windes of the home, sister Alice Jimerson of Olathe, Kansas and her brother Charles Wayne Jimerson Jr. and his wife Krista of Parkville, Missouri. She will be sadly missed by her two nephews Jacob Stout and Justin Jimerson and niece Loren Stout. Tricia will be cremated according to her wishes.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home 105 East Loula Street Olathe, Kansas. A private Inurnment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
